Submitting the Application

In order to be able to submit your application, you must read and agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Unless you indicate otherwise, you will be sent your offer in an email and you will be able to see the details on this website.

1.    Before submitting this application you must read the Guide for Parents on the School Admissions's website.

2.    If you are applying for a Catholic or Church of England school/academy, and want your application to be considered on faith grounds, you must provide a copy of your child's Baptismal Certificate and/or complete a Supplementary Form, which is available from the school/academy.

3.    The closing date for applications to secondary schools is: 31st October 2025.

4.    The closing date for applications to primary schools is: 15th January 2026.

5.    The date on which the Council will write to parents with details of allocated schools/academies is:

Secondary : 2nd March 2026

Primary : 16th April 2026

a.    The legitimate interest of the Local Authority is that places are allocated legally and accurately to all children and that allocations are not based on inaccurate or misleading information. The Local Authority will therefore seek data, where necessary, from other organisations in order to verify the accuracy of applications.

b.    If a place in a school/academy has been obtained on the basis of a false statement or false information, the Council reserves the right to withdraw the place.

c.    Blackpool Council reserves the right to request additional information in support of applications, e.g. proof of address or supporting medical evidence.

d.    If you are not offered a place at your preferred school/academy you have the right to appeal.

e.    If the permanent address of the child changes after making an application, please contact Blackpool School Admissions Team on 01253 476637.
